A few years ago I gave the AmazonBasics Lightning cables a try. I have found that for my uses they performed better than the Apple cables. Features that convinced me to give them a try was that they were available in the colour black and 6 feet in length. The cables I purchased were the first generation which have since been replaced by their second generation cables. The second generation cables differ in design where the cable meets the Lightning and USB plugs on the end. The new design I suspect is for increased durability where the cable may encounter bending. I’m going to be giving them a try and will post my findings in the future.
This iOS update has finally made security keys like the Yubikey start to appeal to me. I’ll make sure to post about my experiences with the Yubikey once I purchase one.
It’s accessories like these that keep giving me the itch to upgrade to an iPhone 11 Pro.
